The AUROTECH story started over 20 years ago in 1990, when Audun Græsli and Roger Gullikstad founded AUROTECH electronics AS. Our focus has always been to attract the best colleagues and work with some of the best electronic companies in the world, and together develop new high-tech electronic products.
AUROTECH started out with the goal of becoming a recognized high-tech company within 10 years and set a new goal in 2000 to develop a product of their own with large international potential. AUROTECH ultrasound AS was established in 2003, and the ultrasound platform MANUS was launched in spring 2009 after 7 years and nearly USD 10 million in development costs. The company’s new goal, set in 2010, is to become the no. 1 ultrasound technology partner and a USD 100 million company by the year 2020.
AUROTECH has always reached its goals and intends to continue to do so, thus it is understood that this is a company with a long-term perspective and a strong will to succeed. AUROTECH has just started marketing the MANUS platform and presently receives inquiries from a number of potential customers. With the goal to become a USD 100 million company by the year 2020, AUROTECH expects to expand rapidly over the next couple of years. We anticipate hiring 10-15 new engineers and needing some new marketing/QA/administrative personnel by 2012.
